About
Maximum Geek is hosted by Josh Curry and Jeff Kirvin and it’s been around for quite some time. The very first episode was recorded in November of 2004 (that’s right we’ve been around longer than several of the bigger podcasts). In the 3 years since then we’ve learned a lot (except for how to keep a scheduel, not sure we’ll ever figure that one out). Our show has grown from stretching it to hit 20 minutes to really having to try to keep it under an hour. We’ve expanded what we cover and we’ve both been through a lot of personal changes. In the four years since we started this both Jeff and I have branched out into doing other podcasts, but the only one that’s really stuck is Maximum Geek. We’ve both considered quitting it (and have taken extended breaks as any of our long time fans can tell you).
The way we’ve run our websites has changed too. Maximum Geek used to just be the podcast and we had four (and sometimes more) other blogs which were each focused on different things. Since then we’ve rolled things up. However it’s only recently that I’ve started using Maximum Geek as my tech and politics blog, Jeff is doing his blogging over at JeffKirvin.net and I am blogging about writing over at www.writerlystuff.com . We’re busy guys but we try to keep active.
We’re approaching our 100th episode (total between volume 1 and volume 2). Maybe that will motivate us to get to our 200th episode in less than four years. I wouldn’t count on it though, if there’s one thing you can count on from Maximum Geek it’s unpredictability.

- No takers on the M11X? I'd donate my MSI Wind, upgardes included... Yeah, it's a fantasy world I live in.
- If that's not enough maybe even a whole year. On time.
- Someone buy me an Alienware M11X so we can review it for MaxGeek. We promise if we get one we'll do a whole months worth of eps.
