Recommendations

• Tough week for recommendations. There are a couple of comics I found really moving, but they require some comic book knowledge to really get the emotional impact. Still one of these is so well done I have to recommend it.
  • Fallen Son: Iron Man
• The other issue I can recommend as a jumping on point is Thor #1, it’s not exactly a thrill ride, it’s a very slow build up (which is something JMS really likes to do). Still so far he seems to have an old school take on Thor which I will certainly keep reading.

That’s right there is finally an episode 3 of the Max Geek Comic Cast. I’m working on doing this on a weekly basis and with things slowing down a little that should be a little easier to do. This week there’s an action packed 45 minute show for you. Here’s what I cover.

OK I’m doing something a little different with this cast, it’s a review cast. I plan on reviewing a couple of comics each week. These are comics I recommened for anyone who’s interested in comics. To help people jump into these issues I’m giving character background and a summary of how we got to where we are. Sometimes these issues will be in the middle of an arc, my goal is to give you enough background and very few spoilers for the current issue. This weeks issues are Amazing Spider-Man #540 and Green Arrow #74. So sit back, listen and be sure to let me know what you think.

As a side note I think this is a much better episode but I’m still working on a few things. Hope you guys enjoy.

Note: When I talk about the Spider-Man television show I’m not refering to any of the cartoons, I’m refering to the live action show which starred Nicholas Hammond as Peter/Spidey. Man I loved that show as a kid.
